Ultimate Frisbee debuts at Czech Fest

Fair supporters deserve congratulations Dear Editor, Another Ellsworth Co. 4-H Fair has come and gone. I would like to congratulate all of the Midway- Ellsworth 4-H members on the hard work they put into the exhibits that were showcased at the fair. The exhibit building was full of By BY Shirley cox-Schroeder Special to the I-R WILSON — This year’s Czech Fest was full of food, and entertainment, but nothing quite compared to the Ultimate Frisbee Contest Friday evening. So what is Ultimate Frisbee? Is it designing a newtake on the old product? Ultimate Frisbee is an international sport, even recognized by the International Olympic Association. The Wall Street Journal states “Ultimate Frisbee combines speed, grace and powerful hurling with a grueling pace.” When the idea of holding this type of event came up for Czech Fest, not many rose to the occasion. Ashlyn Weinhold, a senior at Wilson High School, took up the challenge and organized the event.
