History of Seitz Drug mirrors the story of Ellsworth and its past
 
It’s almost impossible to talk about the business Terry and Agnes Kepka purchased in 1974 without mentioning the history of Ellsworth. Remnants of the town’s past are all around them — from the basement that at one time housed a business where customers could get a hair cut and a bath to its location in the historic Wellington Building District on the west side of North Douglas Avenue.
 
Changes in rules and regulations define today’s pharmacy profession
 
The soda fountain along the north wall is long gone — replaced by rows of greeting cards — but Barb and Kevin Kennedy still hear the stories. “They talk about the grilled buns,” Barb said. And, of course, working at the soda fountain at F&M Pharmacy starting in 1970 when she was a high school freshman laid the groundwork for Barb’s eventual entry into the pharmacy profession.
