Politics mirror reality TV

It appears that American politics has devolved into another segment of reality TV, a variation of sorts on Survivor with a dose of the Kardashians and Dating Naked thrown in. I refer to the GOP presidential debate televised last Thursday. When one thinks that American politics, like American TV, cannot sink any lower, an event like that one proves that it can. Fair disclosure: I did not watch the debate. I am not that much of a political masochist. Reading about it was painful enough.
