The Ellsworth-Kanopolis-Geneseo School District asked for a little more than $100,000. It received $38,000. That was the outcome for local schools Monday when superintendent Dale Brungardt traveled to Topeka to convince Gov. Sam Brownback and other members of the State Finance Council that USD 327 should have additional funding for the 2015-16 year.
