St. Ignatius Fiesta is Sept. 5

KANOPOLIS — As they have done for the past 76 years, a small group of volunteers recently gathered in the basement kitchen of the St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Kanopolis to begin preparing the homemade Mexican dishes — tamales, meat enchiladas, tacos and tostadas — that have become the mainstay of the Fiesta. This year’s Fiesta is Saturday, Sept. 5, at the church.
