Local group ‘talks turkey’

Thanks to an effort being spearheaded by the Ellsworth County Ministerial Alliance, turkey and dressing — and a community dinner — are back on the Thanksgiving Day menu in Ellsworth. A committee made up of members of churches within the ministerial alliance met Sept. 3 in the basement of Ellsworth’s First Presbyterian Church to plan the dinner, which has become a tradition over the years due to the efforts of Edie Pennington and her crew of volunteers.
