ELLSWORTH -- The Ellsworth Bearcats whipped the Knights of Sacred Heart, 23-14, in the Homecoming game at Shanelec Field in Ellsworth.

It was a costly win, as running back and place kicker Kaden Davis was lost for the season due to an arm injury.

CLAFLIN --- The second-ranked 2A  Central Plains Oilers were far too powerful for arch-rival St. John-Hudson, winning 62-0 by the end of the second quarter in the Homecoming game at Claflin.

The O-men scored 20 points in the first 30 seconds of the game.

NATOMA --- The Wilson Dragons junior varsity was defeated 64-19 in a six-man football game against the Tigers in Natoma.

The game does not count against the Dragon’s 8-man Division II varsity season record.

Read about these games and other sports in the Sept. 24 edition of the I.R.
