Ellsworth county tennis teams take six girls to State.

WICHITA --- The Lady ‘Cats of Ellsworth will take three players to the 3A-2A-1A State tennis tournament Oct. 16-17, in Kansas City by placing at the regional tournament Saturday in Wichita.
Seniors Kelsea Kraus and Emmy Kempke placed sixth in doubles action, and Gentry Hawks -- a sophomore who picked up a racquet for the first time last August -- placed fifth.
The Lady ‘Cats placed third as a team in the regional meet.
GREENSBURG --- Lady Oiler tennis doubles players Kylee Hipp and Janea Ryan racked up their 100th win and the regional championship Saturday in the 3A-2A-1A regional tennis tournament in Greensburg.
Senior singles player Kaylyn Oberle also grabbed a berth in the State bracket by placing fifth in arguably one of the toughest single’s brackets in the regional tournaments.
