Bridge project approved

Ellsworth County commissioners approved a plan Monday by the county’s road and bridge department to replace a bridge on Avenue L east of Seventh Road known as the Schwerdtfeger Bridge. Superintendent Rick Nondorf said the replacement will cost $338,000. The federal government will pay $271,000 on the project, with the county paying for the remainder.
