ELLSWORTH -- The undefeated Cardinals added a 46-0 win over the Bearcats Friday in Ellsworth in the first 3A District 15 game of the season.
The Lions of Lyons eked by Sterling 28-24 in the other District 15 game.
CLAFLIN --- Another short evening of football in Claflin as the second-ranked 2A Central Plains Oilers were far too powerful for the Eagles of Ellinwood, rolling to a 52-6 score by the early in the fourth quarter.
The Oilers will take on third-ranked and undefeated Solomon at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 for the 2A District 5 title.
SYLVAN GROVE --- The Wilson Dragons destroyed arch-rival Sylvan-Lucas Unifed 66-22 in an 8-man 1A Division II District 2 contest. Chase leads the District race and Tescott is currently in second place, with the Dragons a mere eight points behind the Trojans.
