CLAFLIN — The Central Plains football team improved to 3-0 in district play after defeating the Ellinwood Eagles 52-6 early in the fourth quarter Friday in Claflin. The Oilers started on defense, but it wasn’t long before the offense took the field. Converting on the second play, quarterback Braedan Crites found receiver Jacob Warnken for a 63-yard touchdown pass. Another throw from Crites to Clark Besthorn resulted in two more points, putting the Oilers up 8-0.
