Sylvia S. Dlabal (1916-2015)

  Sylvia S. Dlabal, 99, Wilson, died Oct. 22, 2015, at Wilson.
  Mrs. Dlabal was born April 21, 1916, on the family farm in Ellsworth County to Mary (Svoboda) and John Jiricek.
  She married Dr. Frank A. Dlabal Oct. 29, 1936, at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church, Wilson. He passed away July 9, 1982.
  She also was preceded in death by her parents; three brothers, Carl, Alfred and Stephen; five sisters, Agnes Jiricek, Georgie Matoush, Anna Skalicky-Talsky, Gertrude Kepka and Marie Montgomery; and a son-in-law, Bob D. Vanek.
  Survivors include a son, Frank (Helen) Dlabal Jr. of Olathe; three daughters, Vanita Vanek of Sylvan Grove, Julia (Roger) Woodmansee of Wilson and Christita Weber of Shawnee; 10 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
  The funeral was Monday at the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church. Burial was at the church cemetery.
  Memorials may be made to the Wilson Senior Center.
  Foster Mortuary, Wilson, was in charge of arrangements.
