Blanche Rose (Jiricek) Woodmansee (1923-2015)

  Blanche Rose (Jiricek) Woodmansee, 92, passed away Oct. 29, 2015 at the Good Samaritan Society, Ellsworth.
  She was born March 2, 1923 in Ellsworth County to Anna (Krizek) and Carl Urbanek. She married Stephen Jiricek in Ellsworth Jan. 1, 1940. She married Harvey Woodmansee in Ellsworth June 2, 1989.
  Blanche was a member of Daughters of Isabellas in Wilson, VFW Auxiliary in Ellsworth, and the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church Altar Society, Ellsworth. She was a lifetime resident of Ellsworth County and a homemaker and farm wife.
  Blanche is survived by her daughter, Carole Boor of Claflin; grandchildren, Stephen Boor of Sylvan Grove, Connie Boor of Hoisington, Mark Boor of Claflin, Christopher Boor of Olmitz, and Patrick (Lori) Boor of Larned; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great grandsons.
  She was preceded in death by her husband, Stephen Jiricek; daughters, Janet, Sharon and Diane; son-in-law, Bernard Boor; great-grandson, Jordan Boor; and husband, Harvey Woodmansee.
  Visitation will be from 1-7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 2, at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth, with a vigil service at 7 p.m. Family will be present from 5-7 p.m.
  The funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at the St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, Ellsworth, with burial following in Ellsworth Cemetery.
