Mr. Kohls

  Norwin C. Kohls, 75 of Cottonwood, Ariz., passed away Oct. 13, 2015, at home.
  He was born May 11, 1940 in Lincoln County, Kan. to Selma and Reinhard Kohls. He attended Ellsworth High School and graduated from Fort Hays State College with a B.A. in Mathematics and Science. He served proudly in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam conflict.
  Through his service he was awarded the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal with Valor, National Defense Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal.
  He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Elda Pistora and Lois Seitz,; and brother, Orville Kohls.   
  Norwin was ex-husband to Joyce Marsh and father to Kimberly Ann Uecker and Jody Lare White; brother to Della Billings (Marvin) of Topeka, Kan., Leoria Kohls of Wichita, Kan., Deniece (Bill) Roth of Lindsborg, Kan., Nina Borgstader of Ellsworth, Kan., and Rolland Kohls of Jacksonville, Fla.
  He was grandfather of five, August Uecker , Sophie Uecker, Grace White, Scarlett White, Kingsley White. Ex-husband to Deena Kohls and stepfather to, Jared Serbu and Aaron Serbu.
  A Celebration of Life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 28, at Christians Funeral Home, Lindsborg, with burial following at 2 p.m. at Ellsworth Memorial Cemetery, Ellsworth, Kan.
  Memorials may be designated for the Salina Regional Health Foundation in care of Christians Funeral Home, 103 N. Washington, P.O. Box 386, Lindsborg, Kan. 67456.
