Bryan Dean Rohn

     Bryan Dean Rohn, 54, Wamego, Kan., passed away Thursday, Oct. 29, 2015, at his home. Bryan was born Oct. 1, 1961, in Goodland, Kan. to Eldon and Eleanor (Gfeller) Rohn. He worked for USDA Rural Development as a loan specialist for 32 years. He was a member of the Wamego First United Methodist Church, Little Apple Investment Club, National Association of Credit Specialist at USDA, and the Wamego Country Club.
     Bryan loved being active outside. He enjoyed farming with his father-in-law and brother-in-laws, golfing and will be remembered as a “hands on” man. He was known for building things and even refinished houses. Bryan was an avid bowler on the Thursday night league and played “old man basketball” at the middle school. He was also part of a Sunday night poker group that donated winnings to families in need.  Bryan also loved to ride his Harley, travel, spend time with family and friends, go to Sprint car races and enjoyed NASCAR.
     Bryan was united in marriage with Kristi Vondra May 2, 2015, in Geneseo, Kan. She survives of the home.
     He is also survived by his father, two sons, Cameron and Derek Rohn, Kansas City, Mo.; a mother-in-law, Mary Jane Vondra, Geneseo; four brother-in-laws, Frank (Jeri) Vondra, Little River, Kan., Dan Vondra, Kanopolis, Kan., Steve Vondra, Geneseo, and Kevin Vondra, Pratt, Kan.; a sister-in-law, Kelley Rohn, Topeka, KS; two nieces, Hollie Rohn and Leah Woodworth; three nephews, Trever Rohn, Derrick Vondra, and Shawn Thomas; four great-nieces and two great-nephews.
     He is preceded in death by his mother, a brother: Rod Rohn; and a father-in-law: Frank Vondra.
     Bryan will lie in-state from 1-5 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 3, at the Stewart Funeral Home in Wamego, with visitation to follow from 5- 8 p.m. The family will accept friends an hour before the service.
     Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 4, at the funeral home.
     The family has suggested memorials to the Bryan Rohn Memorial Fund, in care of the Stewart Funeral Home, P.O. Box 48, Wamego, Kan. 66547.
