Toy store to open Nov 28
As toy store owner Deborah Briggs gets ready for the grand opening of Trollslända Toy Store on Saturday, Nov. 28, she talks about how people often ask her background, and what led her to open an independent toy store, now a rarity in the midwest. Trollslända, which is the only independent toy store in the Midwest to specialize in classic American and European toys, gets its unique look from the many years Briggs spent living in Scandinavia. Briggs has always loved both toys and the retail business, and managed a toy store in Copenhagen for a few years. ”I wanted to provide uplifting children’s toys, games, and decorative items to the people of Kansas.”
