Injured ambulance driver, family cope with life after accident

It was the telephone call all emergency medical service directors dread — your ambulance has been involved in a wreck, it’s totalled, and there are injuries. Ellsworth County EMS director Rod Rees received that call Dec. 1. Jeremiah Brown, the emergency medical technician driving the ambulance, was trapped in the vehicle and two ambulances and a rescue unit from Salina were en route to the scene.
