LINCOLN —  The two-time defending champion 2A Lady Oilers of  Central Plains came from behind in the first quarter to earn a 56-25 over Phillipsburg to claim the championship in the Amos Morris-George Stephens tournament in Lincoln.

The third-ranked 2A Central Plains Oilers worked hard to get the 40-15 win in the championship match over 3A Ellsworth. The score belies the intensity and quality of the basketball game.

Read about these games in the Dec. 17 edition of the I-R.
