Three Ellsworth County teams to play in championship games

LINCOLN — The two-time defending champion 2A Lady Oilers of Central Plains defeated defeated a good Russell ball team 59-39 in the second round bracket of the Amos Morris-George Stephens tournament in Lincoln.
The Lady O’s will face Phillipsburg at 5 p.m. in the championship game Saturday at the high school in Lincoln.
The third-ranked 2A Central Plains Oilers overwhelmed Plainville 53-24.
The Ellsworth Bearcats destroyed a talented Lincoln basketball team 50-34.
The Bearcats and Oilers will meet in the championship game at 6:30 p.m. at the high school in Lincoln.
The Lady ‘Cats fell to Ell-Saline 51-35. Ellsworth will compete in the seventh place match at 2 p.m. at the grade school in Lincoln.
TESCOTT — The Lady Dragons beat Tescott 39-21.
The Wilson Dragon basketball team beat the Mustangs 36-31.
The Dragons will meet Tecott at 7 p.m. the Trojans 60-53 in Tescott.
