‘Blue’ Christmas service set for Dec. 20

While it may stir memories of the classic ballad by Elvis Presley, officials of two Ellsworth churches — the First United Methodist Church and the First Presbyterian Church — hope their “Blue Christmas” service brings some measure of comfort to those for whom the holiday isn’t so merry. The Blue Christmas service will take place at 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 20, at the Hoeger Chapel on the campus of the Good Samaritan Society, Ellsworth Village. Area churches may also participate.
