Choitzes to celebrate 60th anniversary
The family of Lawrence “Shorty” and Erma Choitz of Ellsworth, will be the hosts for an open house in honor of the couple’s 60th wedding anniversary. They were married Dec. 26, 1955, in Emporia. Shorty and Erma have farmed north of Ellsworth for more than 50 years. Shorty also has owned and operated A-1 Welding Shop since 1966. After raising three children, Erma went to work at the Good Samaritan Home in the kitchen for 21 years till she retired.
