How many must die?

Today pro-gun and anti-gun pundits quibble over what number constitutes a “mass shooting”, how many shot, how many killed, etc. If the number does not rise to the defined level, it merits little attention. Former Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan labeled that sort of thinking as “defining deviancy down”, i.e. increasing tolerance of wrongful behavior.
