Lady O’s claim fifth consecutive Amos Morris-George Stephens title

LINCOLN — The top-ranked and defending champion 2A Lady Oilers of Central Plains won their fifth consecutive Amos Morris-George Stephens Basketball Classic title Saturday with a 58-25 win over a quality Phillipsburg team. The Lady Panthers slowly moved to a 5-0 lead with 5:57 left in the first period. Janae Ryan canned a trey for the Lady O’s and Taylor Rolfs added a layup 24 seconds later to knot the game 5-5 with 5:08 on the clock. Phillipsburg answered with a bucket five seconds later to regain the lead.
