Oilers, Bearcats fight for tourney title

LINCOLN — The Central Plains Oilers claimed the Amos Morris-George Stephens Basketball Classic first place trophy Saturday with a 40-15 win over the Ellsworth Bearcats in Lincoln. It was a nice early season game of boys’ basketball with both teams looking like late season clubs. There were few fouls on either side of the ball and the sportsmanship of both teams on the court was above par.
