More than a week after the U.S. Marshals Service in Topeka issued a wanted poster for a former Kanopolis business owner, authorities continue to search for the suspect.

The service has received tips on the whereabouts of Allen Eugene Lemley, but "nothing has come in that's significant," a spokesman for the service told the Ellsworth County Independent-Reporter Tuesday morning.

Lemley is wanted in connection with two crimes - aggravated indecent liberties with a child under 14 and unlawful flight to avoid prosecution. The Ellsworth County Sheriff's Department and the U.S. Marshals Service issued a warrant for Lemley's arrest May 27. The information only became public a week or so ago, after the marshals service issued the wanted poster.

Lemley is the former owner of Al's Pitstop.

The service is offering up to a $1,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of Lemley. The telephone number in Topeka is (785) 295-2775.
