Proposed recreation plan explained

The workings of a district-wide recreation commission were explained during a meeting Thursday, Dec. 17, at the Smoky Valley School District office at Lindsborg. Superintendent Glenn Suppes welcomed those in attendance and reminded the crowd that this meeting was a grassroots effort to see whether there is interest in the formation of a district-wide recreation commission. Suppes said taxes would be levied for the commission — but not before the issue would go before voters for approval.
