Custodian figures 91 is good age to retire

WILSON — Difficult. That’s how Wilson’s Eugene Macek, 91, describes his decision to retire Nov. 6 as head custodian of the St. Wenceslaus Catholic Parish Hall after 22 years of service. “I figured at 91 it was time to quit and let somebody else go ahead,” Macek said in a recent interview with the Independent-Reporter.
