Ellsworth Legion land eyed for hotel

Consideration of a request to purchase land from the Ellsworth American Legion to use for a new hotel began Jan. 14, during the organization’s monthly meeting. “For a couple of years now, we’ve been trying to attract a new motel to the area,” said Smoky Hill Development Corporation representative Curt Glaser. “We’ve come close a couple of times, but putting all the pieces together so they fall right in line has been difficult.”
