GREAT BEND — The top-ranked, undefeated and two-time defending champion 2A Lady Oilers of Central Plains handed the Word Life Academy Fire its first loss of the season as the Lady O’s claimed the BCC Hillside Hoops High School Basketball Classic championship with a 63-51 victory Friday in Great Bend.
It was a quality game of basketball with good sportsmanship on both sides of the ball.
ELLSWORTH — The Southeast of Saline Trojans escaped the Ellsworth Bearcats by six points, 62-56 in an exciting game at Ellsworth.
The Lady ‘Cats were defeated by the Lady Trojans 63-34.
MANKATO — The Lady Dragons defeated Rock Hills by a score of 48-26 in Mankato.
Rock Hills beat the Wilson Dragons by a score of 54-48 in the boys’ game.
