KANOPOLIS — The unexplained footsteps, voices, odd noises and shadowy figures often rumored to haunt the fort that at one time was home to Gen. Custer and other western legends have become more than just fodder for morning coffee gatherings. Those rumors are fact, not fiction, according to Fort Harker interpretive guide Greg Heller and Steve Stults, leader of a five-member group from Hays called Old School Paranormal.
