SALINA — The second-ranked 2A Sacred Heart Knights defeated Ellsworth 53-38 in an action-packed NCAA game in Salina. The Bearcats had a good first half and were within five points, 29-24, at the halftime buzzer.
A much-improved Lady Knight basketball team defeated the Lady ‘Cats by a score of 61-35.
CLAFLIN — The top-ranked 2A Central Plains Oilers defeated Ellinwood 62-42 in a CPL league game in Claflin.
The top-ranked, defending two-time 2A State champion Lady Oilers were far too powerful for the Lady Eagle squad, winning by a score of 59-15.
WILSON — The Wilson basketball teams had an open date and will play Thunder Ridge Friday in Kensington.
