ST. JOHN — The top-ranked, undefeated and two-time defending champion 2A Lady Oilers of Central Plains crushed Pratt Skyline, 66-28, Thursday, in St. John.
The Lady O’s will play South Central at 6 p.m. Saturday in the championship match at St. John. The Lady Timberwolves are ranked eighth in the state by the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association.
The top-ranked and undefeated 2A Oilers will play Central Prairie League rival Ellinwood (14-6) at 6 p.m. Friday, in St. John.
NORTON — The seventh-ranked Bluejays of Norton escaped with a 48-44 win over Ellsworth in the 3A sub-State tournament in Norton.
Norton will play a fifth-ranked Thomas Moore Prep team in the championship match at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in Norton.
PALCO — The Palco Roosters upset the Dragons 49-44 in the 1A Division II tournament in Palco.
The Roosters will play the Mustangs of Sylvan-Lucas Unified at 7:30 p.m. Saturday in the championship match.
The Lady Dragons (15-6) will meet Northern Plains League rival Natoma (15-6) at 6 p.m. Friday in Palco.
