Ellsworth County targeted for growth

Ellsworth County is expected to gain an additional thousand residents between now and 2064, according to a forecast released recently by the Center for Economic Development and Business Research at Wichita State University. Only 20 of the state’s 105 counties are projected to have population increases, while the other 85 are forecast to have population declines. The bulk of those increases are expected to take place in regional centers such as Salina, Ellis and Sedgwick counties.
