Goin’ with the Flow

Ellsworth is not Flint, Mich. Not even close. But the trouble the community has experienced with its water system is a cautionary tale for other towns — water and the systems that deliver it to customers should never be taken for granted. “As we try to plan, if you look at Flint, Mich., or any community, you want to make sure you deliver a clean, quality product,” said Ellsworth city administrator Scott Moore. For several years now, Ellsworth officials have talked about the future of the town’s water system, in terms of both source and distribution.
