Debate over hotel perks heats up commission session

A $3 million investment to build a new hotel in Ellsworth stalled again Monday after county commissioners refused a second request for an incentive package that would have given tax rebates to the developers of the project. In a meeting that was sometimes contentious, commissioners Terry Kueser and Al Oller expressed their opposition — at least for now — to the rebate plan.
