May is for Mental Health

May is Mental Health Month — recognized across the United States as an opportunity to spread the word that mental health is something everyone should care about. SAMHSA, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, reports that one in four adults experience a mental health problem in any one year. For children the numbers are one in five. Central Kansas Mental Health Center, Ellsworth County’s community mental health center, is recognizing May Is Mental Health Month by sharing information about the number of services available to all Ellsworth residents.
