It’s business as usual at Great Plains plants

No changes are planned for Great Plains Manufacturing, including its Ellsworth plant and the 95 employees here, following the announcement this past week of the company’s sale to a decadelong business partner, Kubota Corporation. Rob Fillion, executive director of Smoky Hill Development Corporation, the county’s economic development organization, said he was assured by Great Plains officers that the company will continue to operate as is for the foreseeable future.
