Campbell reflects on time as police chief

Maverick Campbell leaves Ellsworth proud of the accomplishments his department made in the more than 17 months he served as chief — and wishing he could take his officers with him to his new job in Texas. “I’m proudest of my staff. If I could take my entire department with me, I’d do it,” said Campbell, whose final day as Ellsworth police chief was June 8. “They’re just a great group.”
