My wife Mary and I moved to Ellsworth in June of 1980 when I began my career with the Kansas Highway Patrol. For the first 31 years I worked in Ellsworth County as a State Trooper and, for the last five years, as a civilian USDOT trucking company auditor. I am running for sheriff of Ellsworth County because I miss being involved in the day-to-day law enforcement in Ellsworth County.
