Fire sparks neighborly act during wheat harvest

HOLYROOD — Holyrood farmer Ted Schepmann had more than his share of fireworks June 25, when he received numerous calls that he had a major problem in the wheat field. “I was assisting my wife (Angela) at the Star-Spangled Spectacular at about 3 p.m. when I had a flurry of calls we had a big problem in the field and that my combine was on fire,” Schepmann said.
