Albino Munoz (1925-2016)

Albino Munoz, 91, passed away  July 8, 2016 at Cypress Springs in Wichita, Kan.
He was born May 7, 1925 in Kanopolis to Jesus and Maria (Mendez) Munoz. A lifetime resident of the Kanopolis and Ellsworth area, he married Laurita Panzer March 17, 1950 in Ellsworth.
Albino was an employee of the Independent Salt Company for 46 years. While employed there, he was in charge of the Mine Rescue Team for many years.
Albino served in the Navy during World War II. He was a life member of the American Legion and VFW in Ellsworth.
Albino is survived by his wife, Laurita; sons, Richard (Shirley) of Louisburg, Kan. and Ron of Plano, Texas; daughters, Nancy Rader (Jim) and Tammy Clarkson (Guy), both of Andover, Kan.; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, also step- grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren; brothers, Nick and Charles of Kanopolis; sisters, Juanita Munoz of Bullhead City, Ariz. and Inez Torrez of San Francisco, Calif.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Angel and Faustino; and sisters, Virginia Gonzales, Pilar Cisneros and Antonia Munoz.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m.  Wednesday, July 13, at Parsons Funeral Home, Ellsworth, with burial following in Kanopolis Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday with the family accepting visitors from 6-8 p.m.
