High school athletes dominate Czech Run

WILSON — The morning of July 30 was hot and muggy for the annual Czech Fest 5k Run,Walk and Bike event, but 51 runners competed for medals on a course laid out over the rolling streets of Wilson. Wilson High School cross country runner Aaron Dlabal, who will be a senior this coming season, won the overall event and the men’s race with a time of 20:28. Jenalee Mahoney won the women’s overall race with a time of 21:53.
