Wilson’s Barta competes at championship race

WILSON — Six-year-old Konnor Barta earned a slot to race in the 35 annual Rocky Mountain ATV/MC AMA Amateur National Motocross Championship Aug. 1-6 at Loretta Lynn’s Ranch, in Hurricane Mills, Tenn. Only 1,482 motocross riders out of over 22,000 competitors earn a slot at the prestigious amateur race, which is often a springboard for a career in professional motocross racing.
