FOCUS ON TEACHERS

As a result of several months of separate negotiations with officials from the Ellsworth-based Ellsworth-Kanopolis-Geneseo USD 327 and the Holyroodbased Central Plains USD 112 school districts, local teachers will receive a modest salary and benefits increase for the 2016-17 school year. USD 327 teachers received a $600 increase to their base salary and gained two contract days. A total of $13,000 was also added to their health insurance pool.
