City of Wilson Ordinance to Increase Sewer User Charge

ORDINANCE NO. 832

AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING AN INCREASE IN USER CHARGE SYSTEM IN THE CITY OF WILSON, COUNTY
OF ELLSWORTH, STATE OF KANSAS, TO PROVIDE FUNDS NEEDED TO PAY FOR OPERATION,
MAINTENANCE, REPLACEMENT, AND ALL EXPENSES ASSOCIATED WITH THE CITY’S WASTEWATER
TREATMENT WORKS.

WHEREAS, the City of Wilson, Kansas, constructed Wastewater Treatment Works: and
WHEREAS, the City must pay operation and maintenance and all expenses associated with said Treatment Works and charge the users of said Treatment Works accordingly;
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT, ORDAINED by the Governing Body of the City of Wilson, Kansas, that the following user charge system is established as a part of the Sewer Utility Fund of the City.
Section 1. Ordinance No. 713 Section 4.2 is hereby repealed.
Section 4.2  User Charges
Class 1. Average Users. Total monthly charges $15.00.
Class 2.  Major Users. Total monthly charge to be figured at the rate of $4.00 per 1,000 gallons of metered water consumption.  The users rates established by this ordinance shall apply to all users, regardless of their location or the location of the wastewater treatment works.
Section 2. In Effect. This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage, approval, and publication in the Official Newspaper.
