In the coming months, Kansas voters are likely to hear more about the justices that sit on the Kansas Supreme Court than ever before as five of the justices — Lawton Nuss, Marla Luckert, Carol Beier, Dan Biles and Caleb Stegall — face retention votes in November. Normally, such votes come and go without much attention. The names, in most years, are unfamiliar to voters, but that will be different this year because this isn’t most years.
