Oiler harriers will be competitive
By Mark McCoy
CLAFLIN — The Central Plains Oilers cross country team returns some experienced runners and new talent for the 2016 season. “We are still going to be young and inexperienced overall this season,” said coach Rhiannon (Becker) Weber. Weber is in her sixth season as the cross country coach and was recently married. Weber did not compete in the sport during her high school and collegiate careers, but picked up long distance running as a hobby in college and continues to run for pleasure. She teaches language arts and leadership at Central Plains High School.
