Ellsworth football coach resigns

The Ellsworth-Kanopolis-Geneseo School Board accepted the resignation of head football coach and weight training instructor Bent Schneider, following a special early-morning meeting Friday at the district office in Ellsworth. Following an executive session, the board issued this statement: “The resignation is a confidential personnel matter on which the district will provide no further information.
