SALINA --- The Ellsworth Bearcats massacred  the Knights of Sacred Heart 55-7 in Salina, spoiling the Knights’ Homecoming.

CLAFLIN --- The Central Plains Oilers literally punished the Canton-Galva Eagles 50-0 in a Homecoming win in Claflin.

It was a hard-hitting ball game from the O-men’s side of the ball. It sounded like the day before deer season at the public rifle range in Cheney State Park, west of Wichita.

It was the first 8-man Division I District 5 game of the season for the fourth-ranked Oilers.

KENSINGTON --- The Wilson Dragons de-horned Thunder Ridge, 42-20, in the first 8-man Division II District 5 game of the season. It was also a Northern Plains League win for Wilson.
