Oilers advance to cross-bracket game.

CANTON --- The fifth-ranked 8-man Division I Central Plains Oilers destroyed the Goessel Bluebirds 60-12 in the final 8-man District 5 game at Goessel.

The undefeated Oilers will play Argonia-Attica Tuesday, Nov.1. The Titians have a 7-2 record after losing Thursday’s game to South Central.

ELLSWORTH --- The 2-7 Larned Indians won the runner-up 3A District 15 slot in the playoffs with a 42-21 win over the Ellsworth Bearcats at Shanelec Field in Ellsworth.

WILSON --- A injury-laden Wilson Dragon team lost the 8-man Division II District 5 footbal game to arch-rivals Sylvan-Lucas Unified 52-16 in Wilson.
